Coach

Hi, I’m Ryan L. (he/him/his), an autistic and neurodivergent coach. I am an experienced human services professional with a bachelor’s degree in human services and rehabilitation Studies from Assumption University. I also bring years of experience as an autism life coach and autism peer specialist.

As an autistic adult, I take a holistic and integrative approach to coaching. I believe in getting to know each person as an individual, especially their strengths, interests, needs, and goals. We use those qualities to help them work toward meaningful life goals and objectives. As a coach, I believe it is important to understand each person’s unique learning and communication styles to best support their coaching journey. When working with you, I respect your autonomy, needs, and preferences while providing guidance and support to help you make informed decisions about your life and goals. I see every person as someone with strengths, potential, and the ability to contribute to their community and society in meaningful ways.

Outside of coaching, I enjoy watching the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots, playing card games, doing Sudoku puzzles, listening to classical, jazz, piano, and many other types of music, getting outdoors for walks when the weather is nice, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Coaching Focus Areas:

  • Executive Functioning and Daily Routines: Helping to build effective systems and techniques for managing time, addressing task initiation paralysis, and working on establishing daily routines.

  • Neurodivergent Self-Advocacy: Encouraging you to become self-aware of your needs, preferences, and the supports you need to be successful toward addressing challenges and achieving goals. This also includes setting healthy boundaries.

  • School and Life Transitions: Navigating the transition from a structured school environments into self-directed independent adulthood in postsecondary education, the workforce, and beyond.

  • Social Confidence and Connection: Working together to identify and build authentic relationships and connect with peers through shared common interests.
